This is a tool for real-time file synchronization and backup.
Real Time Sync helps synchronize files in real-time. It can manage file backups too. This is an easy to use tool that is quite fast and is secure. With this kind of tool, you can synchronize and back up files and folders between local directories, different drives, or across a local network to other computers or over the Internet to or from an FTP site. There is a scheduler included that helps manage regular transfers and automatic synchronization. This tool is able to support multiple one-way and two-way file synchronization modes. These include sync (Update target folder only), mirror (Make target exactly same as source folder), real time bidirectional synchronization and merge. There are several backup modes available too. These include backup (copy source to destination) and version tracking (Incremental backup with compression). The version tracking mode lets you go back in time with Real Time file Synchronization and recover old files. Past versions of your documents are saved so that you can revert to earlier versions easily.
Chain synchronization available is an interesting feature. It is when the contents of several folders (e.g., A, B, C and D) are synchronized by performing synchronization of pairs in sequence that results in propagation of changes (e.g., sync A and B, then B and C, then C and D. That ensures changes in A propagate to folder B, then C, then to D. You could sync files and folder between one or more FTP Servers in real-time. This could be very useful in website synchronization, remote backup, mirror sites, cluster environment or other circumstances. This is a very good utility.
